555 Howard

High-Style High-Rise

555 Howard will take its place among a crop of new high-rise buildings in San Francisco’s redeveloped Transbay District. The building will rub shoulders with properties designed by Snøhetta and Jeanne Gang and come with its own architectural pedigree: Renzo Piano is behind its refined, floating design that seems to hover above Howard Street.

Mixed-Use/Residential

Designed with exquisite consideration for detail and proportion, the building features a glass facade that allows light to penetrate to the street and adjacent public park. The first 20 floors will house a 210-room five-star hotel and the 16 upper floors will be occupied by 69 private condominiums. The 36th floor will features a public sky bar with an open stair leading to the public garden on the roof.

555 Howard will be San Francisco’s first LEED Platinum residential high-rise.

A double curtain wall on the south and west facades will enhance its solar performance while advanced building systems, including automated shades, will help maximize energy efficiency.
