1100 Broadway

The Key System building, which housed the headquarters of a private rail and bus service of the same name that operated from 1903 to 1960, was damaged in the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake and has remained vacant ever since. Its 37,000 square feet sit adjacent to a vacant 17,000–square foot lot; together these parcels will become a new, 320,000–square foot landmark for the city of Oakland.

1100 Broadway incorporates sustainable practices in its design and construction and includes a plan for sustainable maintenance and cleaning. It is pre-certified LEED Platinum.
