The building is clad in ceramic panels that offer a modern interpretations of the area’s historic architectural style. The interior spaces are oriented around a central atrium enclosed by an architecturally stunning glass roof that allows light to penetrate deep into the building’s core.



The vast roof deck offers breathtaking views of the Bay Bridge and beyond.
The roof’s asymmetrical canopy is angled to funnel rain water toward a collection cistern. The water is later used to irrigate the interior plantings and flush toilets.
Careful site planning, thoughtful window glazing, and the use of high-performance insulation, solar panels, and other sustainable materials have helped this 213,000–square foot space attain LEED Platinum certification.
